A D V E R T I S E M E N T
A lot of people tend to breeze through the objective statement portion if their resume and this is a big mistake. After all, it is one of the first things a possible employer will read before he gets to the really good parts. If you do not know the first thing about writing an objective statement, below are some great tips.
Where to begin?
Always begin your objective statement by writing what you are looking for in a job by telling them what position you wish to attain.
Next thing you need to do is tell them what you are bringing to the table so they know what they will be getting in the event they hire you. This is one time you get to talk about yourself and sort of brag what you are capable of. Do not be shy but do not be over-the-top either as this may work against you.
Where do you end?
When the rest of your objective statement is killer, you need to end with a bang. Don’t tell them why you need them, but make them realize why they need you in their team. Make sure you reiterate why you will be an asset to their company.
