Visual artists can explain what degree they hold, what jobs they have done and how extensive their training is. But in cases like these, only visual aids can speak louder than words. Choose only the best.

Sometimes, visual artists make the mistake of wanting to emphasize how many projects they have done in the past that they forget the entire point of having a portfolio. Your portfolio should showcase your best work. This means that it should always be quality over quantity. Choose the work you’ve done in the past that has made you extremely proud of yourself. Avoid sounding too artsy and aloof though, and end your short bio with a few tidbits about yourself such as a hobby that you keep yourself busy with in between projects. This makes you more relatable to other people who are not at the same level of creativity as you are.
